Anti Platelet Aggregation
We have told you about many of the amazing health benefits of wasabi. It’s anti inflammatory, anti microbial, anti fungal, anti asthmatic, and chemo protective. Not only that, but isothyocianates (ITC’s) found in wasabi provide nutrient support for the immune system, hormonal system, detoxification system, and the anti oxidants system. The one thing we haven’t talked about very much is that wasabi has also been shown to be anti platelet aggregating.
What is that, you ask? Platelet aggregation is the clumping together of platelets in the blood, more specifically, the sequence of events leading to the formation of a thrombus, or a clot. So ANTI platelet aggregation will help prevent this. So right now you should be thinking “doesnt aspirin do this?”. The answer is yes, but here is the catch. Wasabi has been shown to be 10 times more affective in anti platelet aggregation. You heard that right, 10 times more affective. That is impressive in itself. But there is more. Aspirin will start to work in about 30 minutes of taking it. Wasabi will start to work immediately, and there are no synthetic compounds or chemicals in wasabi.
We think that is pretty amazing. We also understand some of you are visual learners, so here is a little graphic to help you understand what we are talking about click here
